Intersex: medicine, sociology, psychology, advocacy (EN) –> June 13th 3.00 PM – 5.00 PM
What happens when a child is born and does not meet society‘s expectations of how girls or boys should look? Intersex individuals are estimated to make up almost 2% of the worldwide population. Caring about Intersex health and inclusion cannot be an afterthought anymore. The Council of Europe Commissioner for Human Rights released an important issue paper on the situation of Intersex people in Europe; the United Nations Committee against torture has begun issuing strong recommendations to European countries about the topic. It is time to react. In this presentation, Kitty Anderson, from the Organisation Intersex International Europe (OII Europe), will explore what the intersex community faces: from human rights violations to surgical non-consensual gender assignment, and their short and long term consequences.

#IDAHOTby: how to work with opinion makers (EN) –> June 16th 21.00 PM – 23.00 PM
Belarus is among those countries where homosexuality and transgenderism still don’t obtain a dignified treatment. There, the idea that a sexual orientation other than heterosexuality is a disease is still widespread and often LGBT* topics are handled as taboos, preferably ignored by the majority of society.
#IDAHOTby is a project of the Belorussian queer culture festival DOTYK, in which opinion makers show solidarity for the rainbow community.
How is it to arrange these events in Belarus? Which challenges face the organizers? Come and learn more about the neighbor Belorussian queer community.
Joy of sport for all (EN) –> June 17th 4.00 PM – 5.30 PM
How much do you know about the Gay Games that are taking place in Paris in 2018? When is Lithuania finally taking part? We invite you to discuss Queer visibility in sports. As many as 78% of the LGBTQI athletes perceive the sports community as unsafe or unfriendly. Is it really so? Afterwards, you are also welcome to join the LBTQ women’s team Gender Wrongs in a friendly 3×3 basketball tournament taking place between 6 and 9 PM. It is open to all Baltic Pride supporters, so register now for the tournament here: https://goo.gl/mWuHUu.
TOUCH (EN) –> June 17th 7.00 PM – 9.30 PM
In a metropolitan world based on time, space and individuality, where people are drifting apart from each other, touch is the most important tool to get to know each other. Body contact is the best evidence proving that we exist. Participants will have the chance to experience the beauty of art matching different topics – from LGBT* refugees to sex work.
